Columbia

Studied Computer Science with a minor in Math. TA'd and did research.

  • Date: August 2017 - December 2020

During my time at Columbia, I mainly focused on AI and Cryptography as my areas of interest. I attended Columbia College, so as part of my class-work, I was also encouraged to take classes in Philosophy, Classic Literature, Art History, and Architecture.

I was a teacher’s assistant for Fundamentals of Computer Systems for 2 semesters. During this time, I led study groups for the students, and answered any questions they had about the coursework. This was a great way to keep the contents of the class fresh beyond simply the class itself.

I was also a research assistant in the field of networking. I worked on a number of projects, including one working closely with the team at Project OWL on a radio transmitter.

I also spent 2 years as an Education Ambassador with the Columbia Blockchain club, during which time I co-led and taught an 8 week course about the fundamentals of Blockchain technology. We had a number of guest speakers, and did our own lectures as well. I also helped plan the first LedgerFest with the club, which has since turned into an annual event.
